How Do You Feel When You Write?

Today, I have a question for you - How Do You Feel When You Write?

When I write, I feel happy. I feel a sense of satisfaction and joy when the words flow out of me and on the page. At times, I feel frustrated when the blank screen/page is staring back at me and I feel the words inside but can't get them out. Sometimes I feel angry at myself for not being disciplined enough to write more. But when I get back on track, I feel a sense of fulfillment that drives me on. I feel like I can do anything in those moments. When the characters develop and come alive, I either feel like I'm a creator, a powerful feeling indeed, or as if they are my old friends. Yet other times, I want to be them. And they are all a part of me.

So my question to you, dear readers, is

HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN YOU WRITE?

  1. You put it all out there. I feel everything when I'm writing from the mountainous highs to the deep pittish lows. It's a wondrous gift and sometimes, a devilish curse,. But, no matter, what I can't stop, because I'm a writer. :)

And as we all know, sharing is the best medicine, so I've tagged you for a Liebster Award http://www.tinamoss.com/2013/04/sharing-is-caring-liebster-award.html

    1. That's how I feel..no matter how many challenges I encounter (and you know lately it's been quiet a few) I can't stop! :)

Thank you for tagging me for the Liebster Award, that's so much fun! Will do a post probably tomorrow.

  2. I feel lost; lost in the way that you never want to be found :) See both reading and writing as a wonderful form of escapism. I escape when I write and I leave a rope behind for my readers.

    1. Andrews, I love this. Yes, I think escapism is definitely a big part of writing (and of course reading). To get lost in other worlds, other people's adventure's can be a wonderful vacation from every-day problems and issues. Well said!
