Phantom Island Pep Rally with Krissi Dallas

It is my pleasure to introduce Krissi Dallas, who is continuing her Phantom Island Pep Rally book release tour right here! I couldn’t be more excited to have this wonderful author stop by. Krissi’s nationwide double book commercial release of Windchaser and Windfall is scheduled for December, but here’s the other good news – you can get her pre-released autographed copies starting October 1st! Check out The White Island Shoppe to get yours today.

Besides being an inspiring and talanted writer, Krissi has been a dedicated teacher and mentor for years, working with and touching the lives of many teens. So what better way to get to know her than through the words of those same teens. Let me introduce Hannah, one of Krissi’s ten cousins, to tell us of her experiences with the author and the books.

Hannah, thank you so much for being here. You have the floor (or the page, as it is).

Hi, Yelena and friends! I’m Hannah and I am Krissi’s cousin, also known as her little twin. Basically, we talk alike, think alike, and look alike! (I think it’s mostly in the eyebrows.) I’m in eighth grade and the character of Hannah is named after me, which is a huge honor! You will meet her on the Island in Windchaser. She is an Aerodorian house girl, but she’s also a lot more than that (as you’ll find out in later sequels. Hope Krissi doesn’t mind me spilling that secret!)

I have so many memories with Krissi it would blow.your.mind. But one thing that always comes to mind when I think of my cousin is Rice Krispy Treats… Weird, right? When I was about eight years old, I was spending the night at her house, and we needed a snack. There was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING yummy packed with calories and loaded with sugar at the house. (SECRET REVEAL: Krissi hates to cook and doesn’t keep much food in the house!) But she suggested that we make Rice Krispy Treats. So we did – only we made them with Rice Chex and daaannnngg… You haven’t lived until you have tried Krissi’s own recipe for Rice Krispy Treats!! Leave it to Krissi to come up with Rice Krispy-less Treats! Now I call them Rice Krissi Treats…

Krissi and Hannah hanging out last March
I really believe you guys are going to just flat out LOVE Windchaser and Windfall so much that you will probably end up reading them multiple times, like the rest of us. I love the part where Whitnee overuses the special mouthwash on the Island and then ends up talking with a lisp. I bet that will be funny to hear Krissi read that way on the audiobooks! And then there is the big KISS scene you won’t want to miss… we all REALLY like that one… just sayin’! I think the reason everybody, boy or girl, teen or adult, can enjoy these books is because they have a combination of romance, adventure, and magic! I consider myself an Aerodorian because I’m creative and dramatic. But I also have a lot of Hydrodorian in me - I love adventure, playing, water, and the color blue! I really hope you guys try out Krissi Dallas’s books because they are totally AWWWWESOME! And you’ll have to meet my other cousin, Arley (Krissi’s cousin too), on Wednesday at Heather’s Odyssey to see what other family secrets we can reveal about the author! Woohoo! Go Phantom Island Pep Rally!

Thank you Hannah, that was great! Thank you for stopping by. I have to say - you guys really look like twins!
And before you go, I want to present you with your Proud Aerodorian button.

Hey everyone, don't forget to say hello to Arley on Wedesday at Heather's Odyssey.

Now, I know you’re all very curious about the books now. Below is a brief summary

Summary: High school senior Whitnee has spent six years rebuilding her identity after her father’s mysterious disappearance left her with more questions than answers. With her two best friends, Morgan and Caleb, she returns as a mentor to the summer camp of her childhood. Nestled in the Texas hill country, Camp Fusion is everything Whitnee remembers—except for the haunting visions that only she can see. One fateful night, Whitnee and her friends embark on a magical voyage where unexpected adventure and heart-stopping romance collide—a journey that might unlock the dark, complicated mysteries of Whitnee’s family history. But will she find the answers she is looking for?

Summary: Transported along with four friends onto a mysterious and magical Island, Whitnee Terradora wants nothing more than to return home safely—until she starts performing supernatural feats such as cyclones, healing, and communicating with the plant she accidentally set on Fire. Suddenly, finding the Island seems like more than just a coincidence. When an ancient prophecy causes a controversy among the leaders of the White Island, Whitnee questions who is looking out for her interests, and who is interested only in gaining power. Even Gabriel, her one ally on the Island, has secrets that both confuse and allure her. Who can Whitnee really trust to find out the truth about herself and her missing father? Could Whitnee really be the answer to the White Island’s problems and if so, is it worth the danger of never returning home?

I'm looking forward to reading this series, especially since I already know that I'm a Geodorian. Curious which tribe you belong to? Take the Quiz here!

Also, you should check out the rest of the Pep Rally Schedule, which continues through October 14th, and find out about fun giveaways RIGHT HERE. You can win free autographed copies of Windchaser and Windfall along with some surprise gifts customized in your particular tribe!

Happy Reading!
